I was invited to hang out at Shake Shack to try their holiday menu (also known as the winter menu). I have to say, I love what they concocted in that kitchen. Below is a winter menu review, and I know you’re going to find something that will satisfy your taste buds.

Here’s what I tried:

  1. Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate
  2. Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
  3. Chocolate Peppermint Milkshake
  4. Christmas Cookie Milkshake

If these don’t put you in a good mood for the Christmas season, I don’t know what will!

First off, the milkshakes.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I’m a sucker for anything Pumpkin. This year was HUGE when it came to random foods at the grocery store being infused with pumpkin.

When I heard that Shake Shack had a Pumpkin Pie Milkshake, my head popped up like a dog hearing its owner park the car outside the house.

The Pumpkin Pie Milkshake was incredible. The right amount of pumpkin and the right amount of sweet. In Florida, where it’s so hot during this time of year, this is a great replacement for those warm nights when pumpkin pie just doesn’t feel right.

I seriously loved the pumpkin pie milkshake, but it wasn’t even my favorite!

The Chocolate Peppermint Milkshake was surprisingly very good. I say that because I’m not a huge peppermint dessert fan. With that said, as soon as you taste it, the chocolate hits your taste buds first. It’s Shake Shack’s signature chocolate flavor. Then the peppermint kicks in right after and it’s strong, in a good way! Most peppermint flavors taste too weak or artificial. I really felt like I was sipping this milkshake through a candy cane.

It’s the best peppermint milkshake I’ve ever had. But still, not my favorite at this event.

Through the process of elimination, my favorite milkshake was… the Christmas cookie milkshake!

Most cookie milkshakes are overly sweet to the point where they’re almost bitter. This, however, was not. It’s the perfect amount of sugar cookie with a taste of Christmas. It really was the best of the bunch. If Shake Shack was everywhere, this would be everyone’s favorite holiday drink.

As for the Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate, I fell in love.

I’m a sucker for any hot chocolate, even the artificial packets at the dollar store. The smell of hot chocolate gets me every time. Taste is always subjective depending on the quality, but it’s always enjoyable because it reminds me of Christmas.

But even so, I am picky when it comes to buying it at a store. Hot chocolate always seems to be better at home. Though I always seek to try a cup when I see somewhere has one.

Shake Shack’s Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate will make you rethink hot chocolate. It’s different. It’s strong. It’s seriously good. It was 85 degrees outside and I drank the whole cup.

I make an amazing cup of hot chocolate at home (or so I’ve been told) that I do truly love. But this one is crazy good. It’s thick, creamy and full of chocolate. It’s not watered down at all. And the chocolate sprinkles on top are just icing on the cake.. or brownie.

Get it before it goes away for the season. The only reason you shouldn’t get it is if you’re allergic to something in it. Otherwise, you’ll have serious FOMO (fear of missing out) if you don’t grab this.
